The Council is San Francisco-based coalition of nearly 300 large employers that is devoted to making the Bay Area the best place to live and do business in the world. Over the course of the past three years, Healthy Systems Project has spearheaded a project for the Bay Area Council that has included convening, research, fundraising, and the development of an advocacy and communications plan to enhance its engagement in health and healthcare. As a result of this work, the Bay Area Council has emerged as a leading business voice committed to the successful implementation of the Affordable Care Act in California and throughout the nation.

Cedars-Sinai is one of the most respected academic medical centers in the world. Healthy Systems Project is working with the C-suite leadership of Cedars as they analyze opportunities and challenges associated with health reform implementation, focusing, among other areas, on the networks for new health reform-compliant products both on and off public exchanges.
SeeChange Health is the first new insurance company formed to serve the small group market in California in over 20 years and offers 100% value-based insurance designs. Healthy Systems Project worked with SeeChange to evaluate opportunities to offer its products on public and private exchanges and through other channels as well as monitored and addressed legislative and regulatory hurdles to the company’s growth and expansion. Healthy Systems Project helped expand and direct the coalition that defeated legislation that would have eliminated effective wellness incentives in the small group market.
